No wonder Finn is suspicious of these two.
Interesting development about the loss of Chord Overstreet (Sam) fromGlee. It might not actually be a loss — that is, if Chord doesn’t want it to be. Scoopster Michael Ausiello reports that producers actually want the blond-haired star back on the show, just not as a regular cast member.

“If Chord wants to appear on Glee, the choice is his,” says a show source. ”The Glee writers like his Sam character, and have plans to write for him. He and his reps have been told that he is welcome back to Glee, and everyone hopes he will show up on August 10 when filming begins.”

The source adds, “If Chord has a great season, which we expect he will, then he will become a regular like Harry [Shum Jr.]” — who, the insider notes, waited 2 years to be promoted — “possibly as early as January.”

So, like we said: interesting. Someone should tell those fans. Or Chord for that matter. On the day the news broke, the actor tweeted, “It’s been a good year. Too bad it’s over. Time for summer and starting fresh,” which makes us wonder... Does Chord want to move on and, say, pursue music full time? Or are the Glee folks just backtracking to lessen the fan uproar?

What do you think, Gleeks? It seems that a character who had such a big part in Season 2 should be worthy of series regular status. And though nothing is guaranteed in HollywoodDarren Criss (Blaine) bypassing him in the Glee rankings in much less time's gotta burn a little.

We can’t wait for the dream wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, but there are those who wonder if the Nets baller will be able to deal with feeling outshined by his wife in the long run. In an exclusiveWetpaint interview, we asked relationship expert Maryanne Comaroto ofMaryannelive.comabout it. She tells us that if Kris is the man he seems to be, he should have no issues with Kim’s star power.

Wetpaint.com: By all reports, Kim brings in a lot more money than Kris, and he wasn’t exactly a household name before they started dating. Could he develop a problem with that down the road?
Maryanne Comaroto: You know, once upon a time all of us used to have rich and famous and all of that relegated to the male of the species. It wasn’t even a subject, but suddenly because she’s more rich and famous — that has almost everything to do with the fact that she is a woman. Because, typically, if you’re with somebody who’s rich and famous you see it as a bonus. Why is it a problem? Because she’s a woman, I think. And I think, way more rich and way more famous? That’s relative when you’re getting married. Unless you’re a superficial person and you really are matching your bank accounts and you see that as some kind of real value in the relationship, it’s really a vapid place for anyone to place their focus.

So it’s not an issue at all?
I think there’s probably a more subtle dynamic underneath here. If she is a power-monger and he gets laid off the basketball team or hurts himself and suddenly all this buzz dried up, it wouldn’t be any different than anybody out of Hollywood. You know, somebody’s going to pay the bills, somebody is going to try to get another job. I mean, if their marriage is predicated really on their bankroll and their fame, I’d say they’re in big trouble. My guess is that they’ve thought this through and they both come from really solid family backgrounds. Kim’s parents have certainly been exposed to Hollywood a lot more and sort of know the game and they can probably school Kris’s parents a little bit in terms of what to expect. But I’d say their underlying values are what they’re going to have to rest on. And as far as I can tell they’re both pretty solid folks. I don’t feel like they’re so naïve that they don’t know what they’re getting into here.

But we’ve all seen what prolonged exposure to Hollywood can do a person’s ego. A lot of famous men simply can’t handle being with a woman who’s more famous than they are.
But how much more famous is anyone than anyone who is famous? As a basketball star, he holds his own. He makes a fortune doing what he does. I mean, most of the world’s population makes less than three dollars a day. The guy could make 200 grand a year and be rich. If you were a guy who had no sense of fame, had no exposure to that way of life at all, I would say it might be a challenge. And who’s to say Kim’s not history tomorrow? It’s not an insult to her or what she’s doing, but our culture is very fickle when it comes to our likes and dislikes of people and celebs and all of that. The issue is more about, are these two people who share the same values? It looks pretty much like they do. They know the game they’re in and are joining forces. My sense is they make a great team and, between the two of them, they can do anything.
